The Royal Order of Iwere Investiture Marks Day Six of the Coronation Anniversary

Royal Order of Iwere Investiture Ceremony

The Royal Order of Iwere has emerged as one of the highest distinctions of the Warri Kingdom— a symbol of honour and a lasting affirmation of values that transcend generations. The award celebrates integrity, service, and excellence, reflecting how culture inspires leadership and strengthens society.

This year, the Royal Order of Iwere was conferred upon Pastor Ayodele Oritsejafor, Dr. Ebi Omatsola, Mr. Oti Ikomi, Dr. Mrs. Helen Boyo-Ekwueme, and Mrs. Tara Fela-Durotoye. Their recognition highlights the depth of talent, vision, and resilience among the Itsekiri people, affirming that the kingdom continues to produce voices of impact whose contributions strengthen communities, advance nations, and resonate across borders.

In his charge to the people, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, declared: “Every Itsekiri son and daughter, come back home, come out of hiding and return home. There is so much to be done for the people.”

For Her Majesty Olori Atuwatse III, these words stand as both summons and invitation—calling every son and daughter of Iwere land to rise with courage, to unite heritage with innovation, and to serve with vision. They affirm the Warri Kingdom as a place of opportunity and influence, where the collective strength of its people can shape progress across Africa and beyond.

“Every Itsekiri son and daughter — return home. There is so much to be done for the people.”
